i purchased my scooba 5800 12/15/06.i used it 2 times and was very satisfied with it’s results.after properly charging and cleaning the unit after every use all of the sudden it stops working.all the lites are blinking, all the beep tones are going off but still unable to operate the new scooba. (used appox 2 hours).have attempted to contact cust. support several times with nothing but runarounds, prompting to this page and that page, not recognizing my registration that i did rite after buying the scooba both online and via postal sevice, forget about trying to contact scooba c.s by phone, i tried it 2 times and both times was on hold for a minimum of 30 minutes with no answer.i even tried contacting c.s. about their return policy but got no response.i have not attempted to return my scooba to the store that i bought it but i guess because nothing else seems to work i will try retuning it to the store!! wish me luck
had exactly the same problem with the unit I purchased, unfortunately purchased in the US, so warranty not covered in Australia, spoke with the distributors here, they were very helpful, willing to have look to see if there was something they could do, but not under warranty. If I’d purchased in Australia, the law would have given me much more protection on repair or replacement. If I’m having the same problems I don’t see how iRobots 30day free trial (their website) can result in many successful sale.

The Scooba is a consumer RIP OFF. Customer service is a joke. They want their customers to run around in circles and die like their Scooba!
I have had mine two years and it has worked ONCE! iRobot techies just want you off the phone. One suggested I take my scooba to work so he can hear it run (what on the carpet!) DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT

Ditto all above. I’ve gotten a handful of trouble free cleanings in the 1 1/2 yr I’ve owned this. These have been in between the following history:
1) 2 months after buying, Scooba didn’t pick up water. Customer service sends me new brushes, wipes, which were not simple to replace.
2) Machine goes completely down. Took me many times to repeat what it was doing, as if the lights that were on/off/flashing just couldn’t possibly be happening. Told to return machine & would get a replacement.
3) Scooba lost my machine & wouldn’t send replacement. 6 months later, a supervisor called me out of the blue to check on the “resolution.” He decided to send me a new machine.
4) New battery never held charge longer than 30 minutes. Scooba CS sent me a new battery & OSMO to update Scooba. Recharged new battery, updated OSMO - - No change in performance whatsoever. New battery still only lasts about 30 minutes, cleaning solution not fully dispensed, must charge at least 8 hours before my next 30 minute cycle.
5) Just e-mailed Scooba again. What will it be? New battery? New machine? New blades? New OSMO? I must be getting close to “out of warranty” if they calculate by purchase date. Actual time used - - total hours is about 15. That’s one expensive floor wash.

Have you tried using the Little Tank Cleaner Suction Thing it comes with? It looks like one of those things for cleaning baby’s ears. Basicly you suck air from the port that the tank hooks into.

Worked great, AT FIRST, then only works for 5 - 10 minutes before battery dies. Called for support, hung up after 24 minutes of HOLD, tried to request RMA on their web page, but the page conveniently times out before request can be submitted. DO NOT BUY ONE

I am not too happy with mine either. I wonder if anyone is planning a class action lawsuit.
